Using Duve without a PMS / Channel manager

Connect your Duve account directly to the different OTA's. In this guide we will show you how to connect your rentals in Duve to the major OTA's.

Booking.com

If you already added rentals to your Duve account, click here first.

To connect Duve to your Booking account, go to your Duve dashboard and click on Settings –> General tab, and scroll down until the box “Sync your reservations Data to Duve”.

There, in the drop-down menu, choose Booking.com -> add your Hotel-ID, and click the “Connect with BookingSuite” button.

Here is where you can locate your Hotel-ID in your Booking account:

Clicking on the connect button would open you a pop-up to approve the connection between Duve and Booking and should enable Duve to sync all your rooms and reservations from your Booking account.

Please be aware this is a one side connection, Duve will only pull data from Booking but won’t push anything back.

That’s it! after this you can click on Sync now, and you will see all your Booking.om reservation in your Duve account.

From this time, Duve will sync all new reservations, cancellations, and updates automatically every hour.

Airbnb

The connection to Airbnb is being done using an iCal link per each property. This needs to be done once, and afterward, Duve will sync all new reservation from your Airbnb account every 10 minutes.

ICAL is a protocol that syncs all your bookings in an online Calendar and like that updates automatically your properties’ availability in each booking websites you use and in the Duve system.

So, how it’s work?

To sync your Airbnb’ bookings into the Duve system you have to:

        1. Sign in to your Airbnb account and go to the “Hosting Dashboard” from the navigation and click on your “Listings”.
        2. Select the listing (property) you would like to sync with.

Note that each listing has a unique iCal URL, so ensure to select the correct listing.

        3. Click on “Availability” and scroll down to “Export Calendar” and click on it.
          .
          .
          Play
        4. Copy this link (Ctrl/CMD + C)
        5. And paste it (Ctrl/CMD + V) into the same property details in our system in the section “iCal import” After selecting the Platform “Airbnb”.
        6. “Save”

Now, do these steps for each listing you wish to sync with Airbnb.

  1. A 2-way sync:

In each property in your front desk, you have a section with the title “Connectivity” with its unique Duve iCal link, as you see in the picture below.

Copy this link and paste it
into the same property details in each booking websites (Airbnb, booking.com, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, etc.) the property appears in the section “Import Calendar/Sync your Calendar”.

This step will update automatically your properties’ availability in each of the booking websites you use.

Other OTA’s

The iCal connection (as explained in Airbnb), works with most of the OTA’s, with the check-in and out dates, but not with the full guest details. For example, in TripAdvisor iCal you will receive the guest name but not the email address, so you will need to add this manually per reservation.

Here is an explanation of how to sync the iCal from HomeAway.

That’s it, you are done.
